Bio | The world went to shit in 2010. The economy collapsed, countries went to war and while the remnants of the global powers managed to stop the nuclear holocaust, the damage done when the stock markets dissolved was just as horrific. Everyone went back to zero. New world order was declared. Everyone was even, and everyone was broke. Money became worthless. A loaf of bread would either cost you £5000 or a pint of milk. The real currency was in food and fresh water, or to the more desperate cigarettes and alcohol. The world however is gradually rebuilding itself. Electricity has returned, with Gas and Water soon to follow. The military is still strong, and have become the law of the land. The employment market is returning, and the cities are the first to see the change, however slow it might be. In the mostly abandoned and desolate burrows of London, a new culture of burlesque begins to flourish. Twisted and forgotten children come together to sell their wares to any punter who will pay. And many do. After all, if you've got nothing to live for, you may as well pleasure yourself to death. It is here that Débauche, The Theatre of Debauchery, will be born. On the door of a rundown bar there appears a simple tattered sign. Apply Within |
